Academic assessment is a crucial part of the teaching and learning process. The assessment pattern has been developed after researching various international standards and studying the NCERT guidelines. The focus is on maximizing learning in the classroom and encouraging the application of knowledge in real-life situations.
For students in Nursery to Class VIII, the academic year is divided into four unit tests and two terms, and there are no formal examinations. Instead, the child's progress is evaluated based on day-to-day performance under Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE). This includes theme-based assessments through written work in notebooks, oral assessments through classroom discussions, and activity assessments such as projects and creative work.
As our school is affiliated with CBSE, assessments for secondary and senior secondary sections adhere to the board's guidelines. Continuous & Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) is carried out throughout the session, including written work, verbal assessments, project assignments, and co-curricular activities.
For Class IX, the academic year is divided into four Unit Tests and two terms, which are also referred to as mock exams for further preparation for the board exams.
In Class X, students are evaluated based on formal assessments at the end of each term by the school through Mock Exams or Pre-Board Exams, as well as the Board Examination conducted by CBSE at the end of the session.
We follow the same rules for Class XI. Formal assessments are conducted at the end of each term, comprising written and practical evaluations.
In Class XII, students will be evaluated by the school through formal written and practical/project evaluations, with the final assessment based solely on the Board Examination conducted by CBSE at the end of the session.
